Here are a few pictures of some of our holiday activities.  Enjoy!

We learned all about holidays around the world.
In Mexico, they celebrate Christmas with Pinatas.

In China, they celebrate the new year with fireworks and releasing lanterns into the night sky.

In Hawaii they greet each other with leis and say "Mele Kalikimaka" which means Merry Christmas.

The tradition of decorating Christmas trees originated in Germany.

During Kwanzaa families use Mkekas (woven mats).  These mats represent their African heritage.

We also loved hearing the story of Polar Express and looking at the model train!
