Week at a Glance: April 6-10

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Here is what we will be working on this week:
  • Phonics/Sight Words: beginning blends and digraphs (sh, th, ch, wh), new sight word: his
  • Reading: Features of non-fiction text
  • Writing: Writing for a Reason
  • Math: Introducing coins, Teen number review
  • Social Studies: Our Neighborhood
Reminders:
  • Report cards will go home Wednesday, April 8th.
  • Reading folders will be coming home again this week.  We were busy assessing for report cards last week.  Sorry they didn't get sent home.
  • We try to play outside everyday.  With it heating up, please make sure your child has weather appropriate clothing.  We don't want anyone to get too hot!
In other news, Marcus (aka Mr. Cargill) and I are excited to announce that Baby Cargill is expected to arrive at the end of September.  I am sure some of your kiddos have already shared our news.  We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives.  Thoughts and prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby are much appreciated!
